Move Out Extensions
Note: Students who apply for summer housing may request May Interim Housing to bridge between the end of the Spring and the start of Summer Block A.
Students with Approved Extensions
Requests for program extensions (ex. Junior Marshals, Give-N-Go Green, varsity athletes, etc) must be submitted to the Res Life office by 5pm Monday, April 19, 2024, directly from the Faculty/Coach/Staff member organizing your program.
Note: Visiting & graduating students are not eligible for extensions.
Students must be in "good standing" (academic, disciplinary, payment) with the College in order to be considered for an extension. Any students involved with conduct violations during the exam or extension period may face immediate removal from the residence halls.
All students should plan to be required to relocate to temporary housing in Reid or Brooks Hall in order to receive a housing extension.
Approval Email
Students approved for extensions will be sent a confirmation email with their check-out deadline & individual instructions for moving to temporary housing (or staying in place) by 11pm on Friday, May 3, 2024.
Moving to Temporary Housing
Students should be prepared to relocate with their belongings to a temporary shared double room in Reid or Brooks Hall on Friday, May 10, 2024, for their extension. This is necessary due to the short window for the Facilities office to clean the residence halls before the start of summer housing.
Students' approval emails will provide instructions to sign for their temporary room key on Friday, May 10. Students are encouraged to pack in advance, as they will not have a lot of time to relocate to their temporary room that day.
Students living in Reid/Brooks should expect to get a new roommate for the extension period if their current roommate is not approved for an extension.
- 121, 600, 616, CG, Elliott, Plimpton, Sulzberger, and Sulz Tower -- Definitely will have to move
- 110, 620, Brooks, Hewitt, and Reid -- May have to move
Checking-Out at End of Extension
Students will need to finish moving out of extension housing & properly check out by the date/time provided in their confirmation email. Additional extensions past the approved date/time are not available.
